Finish set up problem

Hi When I boot up my Mac -Big Sur 11.4 I get and error box, Finish Setup, click fix and I get  -Allow Full Disk Access- which I have done in Security/Privacy and it appears Norton  runs updates and tick fixed. But next boot same thing, have uninstalled and reinstalled Norton 360 deluxe but same issue, support have not yet come up with a solution any help appreciated.

Mikey

Hope the attached files help. As the problem occurred again this afternoon.

Hi,

I have sent you a private message requesting additional information. Could you please check your inbox when you get a chance? Thanks.

Im having this problem with Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 and Norton 8.6.5

I have a similar problem which I also posted, no reaction as yet - https://community.norton.com/de/forums/complete-set-full-disk-access

Hi

After spending over 2 hours on the phone and remote connection to Norton going to a top service agent, at the moment they have no fix but have passed on all details gained from remote connection to be analysed and hopefully will have a fix shortly.

Part of an email I received yesterday;

Norton Escalation Team in Dublin.

Engineering has reached out to me to make contact and to notify you about the error on your Norton product. This error was reported to engineering and is currently investigating it.

Unfortunately, there is no ETA on when the issue will get addressed as the issue is not readily reproducible in-house. Engineering is suggesting ignoring the error for now until the fix will be applied via a future update. The advice is also to use the MAC device as you would normally do.

I hope this helps for now it is just a waiting game at the moment.

Add another person having this problem. I am running Mac OS 10.15.7 Catalina on an iMac 2013. I have also gone through all the steps suggested but the Finnish Install window comes back and it wants me to allow Norton System Extensions full disk access, which is checked in privacy and security settings.

Ah ha thought I was the only on, no amount of information or ideas hasn’t fixed, I just close the box and carry on as it seems to clear itself after a few minutes, just really annoying.

Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

Hi thanks for replies and suggestions of which the majority I have carried out including updating to 360 premium but still have the same issue 'Fix Setup' which I now just ignore as I have spent hours trying to fix with no success.

Mike

Mac 11.4, Fix Set up on booting, Allow Full Disk Access, followed all screen instructions but still not solved problem. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Norton through there support agent but still the same problem. How do I fix this please.

Hi @mwoodhouse,

Thank you for posting on the Norton Community. We will have someone from the Technical Support team give you a call. Thank you.

I have used Norton uninstall tool shut down and reinstalled 360 deluxe and upgraded to premium, but still the same, if I boot and ignore the warning and carry on it eventually ticks ok and no warnings. so I will just leave it for now as I have spent days trying to fix it, unless someone comes up with a fix

Thanks
