Fire HD8

I've just purchased a Amazon Fire HD8 Tablet and I was wondering it I need to install Norton's on it?  It does connect to the internet so I would guess I'm open to attacks.  Maybe paranoia?  Is the Norton's package too large for the Tablet? Supposedly it only comes with 16 GB.

Technically, the Fire OS is a locked down tailored version of Android. That being said, it is NOT immune to infections, IE such as the Fire Sticks getting malware. Best practices for Fire are to download and install apps ONLY from the appropriate Amazon service. They DO offer some A/V apps. I found this app in their store as being rated 3.5 stars and decent reviews. You can have a look at their offerings and reviews and choose one that fits your needs. Hope that helps.

SoulAsylum - not knowing what was needed, I was wondering if I needed some sort of protection, especially since the Fire does connect to the internet and also can download files to my PC's.  I hope Norton's is good enough to protect my PC's, but is the Fire venerable?

PC_confused. Can we assist you further?

Hello PC_confused. Actually the Fire OS isn't supported by Norton. HERE are the devices and Norton products currently supported.
