UPDATE Dec 31: when Firefox 18 is released, we will release compatibility patches for Norton 2012 and 2013. Previously, we were only supporting 2013 products, but have extended toolbar support for the 2012 products.

 

Hi everyone,

 

The Norton Toolbar is now compatible with Firefox 17. We have released a Firefox 17 compatibility patch for Norton Internet Security & Norton 360 20.2.0.19 which is available via LiveUpdate. The patch is also available for the Norton 2012 products and Norton Identity Safe Standalone product. For this version, both Norton 2012 and 2013 products are supported. Additionally, for the Firefox 18 release, the patch will update both Norton 2012 and 2013.

 

The versions for this compatibility update are as follows:

 

Norton Internet Security & Norton 360 20.2.0.19

 

Norton Toolbar: 2013.2.2.3

Norton Vulnerability Protection: 11.1.1.5 -3

 

Note: This patch does not require a reboot on Win7 & Win 8 machines

 

 

Norton Identity Safe Standalone 2013.2.0.18

 

Norton Toolbar: 2013.2.2.3

 

Note: This patch requires a reboot

 

 

Norton Internet Security 2012 (19.9.0.9)

We recommend that you have the latest version of Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 installed.  If you are not seeing the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 17, check and make sure you're running NIS or N360 20.2.0.19. Please visit our Norton Update Center to receive the latest update.

 

You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version. It will appear in the LiveUpdate history as Norton Toolbar Add-on for Firefox.

 

If you are running Firefox 17 and Norton Internet Security or Norton 360  20.2.0.19, and still do not see the Norton Toolbar, please check and ensure the Norton Toolbar plugin is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the Firefox menu, selecting Add-ons, and then clicking Enable next to Norton Toolbar.

  

Please note: We now only officially support Firefox 15.0 and above. Firefox 14.x and older are no longer supported. See this announcement for more information.

Hi everyone,

 

Our team has completed testing on an updated patch for Firefox 17 Compatibility, and has released it to all customers. This patch resolves AutoFill and Auto Safe issues with Identity Safe that occured with the initial FF17 compatibility patch. Please note the updated versions in the edited first post to this thread. If you are still experiencing AutoFill and AutoSave issues with your passwords, be sure to check the version you are running. If it is different than the versions listed above, please run LiveUpdate to receive the latest patch. Thanks for your patience while we resolved this problem.
