Comment deleted. I didn't realize ALF60 had already posted about v51.0.1 at NEW FIREFOX 51.0.1 26 January 2017.
Martin Brinkmann also added the following comment to his ghacks.net article Firefox 51: Find out what is new:
"Note: If you are reading this article on January 24, 2017, you may not be able to upgrade Firefox to version 51 yet as Mozilla may not have enabled the new version through automatic updates. Releases are always available on Mozilla's FTP before they are made available via Firefox's built-in update mechanism."
Hi Krusty and Phoneman THANKS for the info I have been upgrading from Norton internet security to Norton security today (end of sub) so I have have not checked here till now
All machines should be updated by Friday but if you want it earlier you can download it in your language here.
I've just been informed that today's release is only to 25% of machines.
Same problem here. I updated one system this morning but 6 hrs later my second system says I am up to date with 50.1. Maybe they pulled it.

Hi ALF60,
Two of my machines aren't updating past 50.1.0. I wonder if we will see 51.0.1 released shortly?
Thanks.
