Firefox 94.0.2: first Microsoft Store-specific update, for all platforms

Firefox 94.0.2: first Microsoft Store-specific update, released for all platforms  The Microsoft Store version of Firefox updates automatically through the store itself. Non-Store versions of Firefox will receive the update automatically as well. There is no rush to install it unless Firefox was installed via the Microsoft Store.  https://www.ghacks.net/2021/11/18/firefox-94-0-2-first-microsoft-store-specific-update-released-for-all-platforms/

Hi Krusty13:

I still haven't received the Firefox v94.0.2 desktop update (not a concern if it only fixes a bug in the UWP / Microsoft Store edition) but I noticed my Widevine Content Decryption Module widevinecdm.dll updated to v4.10.2391.0 in Firefox on 18-Nov-2021 per my post today in Latest Edge Bug... . Thanks for posting a summary of the meeting notes or I wouldn't have thought to check the module version again.

  • Desktop 94.0.2 ready to ship pending FxSuggest team go-ahead
  • Desktop Beta 9 tomorrow, end of early betas (some experimental features will be deactivated)
  • No mobile beta built today as there were no mobile uplifts or platform changes affecting mobile in Geckoview
  • New widevine 2391 CDM update going live soon to same set of releases currently supported by 2209

Hi lmacri Firefox so far as of 6pm est has not released the update. I don’t have any information when it will be available…

Hi ALF60:

Thanks for the post.  I didn't even know there was UWP version of Firefox that's officially endorsed by Mozilla until I searched the Microsoft Store today, so you do learn something new every day.laugh
