Firefox access and Norton Internet Security 2010 not allowing internet access

Hello,

 

I just downloaded and installed Norton Internet Security 2010 and Firefox. I cannot access the Internet through Firefox. I tried changing my firewall, reinstalling Firefox and Norton; nothing is working. I am running Windows 7 on a Alienware Laptop.

 

 P.S. I cannot install any other programs relating to the internet. I tried installing Chrome and updating Flashplayer and nothing worked.

 

 

let me know what you guys need.

ok, I tried that and it is still not working.

I am running Version: 20.1.1.2. It is upgraded, but still not working.
I think i am running the 2012 version.

 

Let  me know what else you need.

Are you talking about the Norton Firewall or some other firewall?  In the Norton Firewall Advanced settings there is a Firewall Reset option.  Please try that to return the firewall to its default configuration, which should not block browser access to the internet.  You should also use the Network Diagnostics Framework in Windows 7 to troubleshoot this:

I am talking about Norton's Firewall. I tried to reset it and nothing worked. I also tried the Network Diagnostics Framework and it didnt work.

You clearly have connectivity issues.  Surely, the NDF must have found and reported something.  Are you saying that it reported no problems?
