I would like to set up firewall rules to allow or block connections by country. The vast majority of the connection attempts I see coming in are from outside the US, and I travel often in the US and need to be able to connect to my own system. Being able to allow connections from only the US would be a good compromise between blocking myself as I travel and allowing anyone in the world to attempt to connect. I realize this is not a perfect solution. I'm just looking for something better than what I'm doing. Right now, I'm blocking by manually entered IP ranges that attempt to connect. This is getting to be tedious.
I have found a sites that lists IP ranges by country (for example, https://www.countryipblocks.net/country_selection.php). The sites warn that the lists change often. Symantec might be able to keep the data current and update often via LiveUpdate. It doesn't even have to be perfect - just close enough. I select the countries to allow or block and Norton does the rest.
