If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:
Have you verified it is the Firewall causing the issue? Right click on the Norton icon in the system tray and click on Disable Smart Firewall, choose a time frame and test your printer again.
If that is not the cause, do you have a VPN active when you see this issue? If so, disable the VPN and test printing again. If that fixes the issue, open 360 and click on Settings on the left pane, then scroll down to the Privacy section and click on Secure VPN. Click on the Settings tab and scroll down to Access Local Devices with VPN, and be sure that setting is turned ON.
I assumed it was the firewall as i had the issue a couple of weeks ago and was able to correct it. But i am able to print to another device on the network. Recently switched to Fios and the router is a 6ghz device. Thinking this may be contributing. I could print yesterday, but today i can only print while physically connected to the printer, which is an older Canon MF229 laser printer.
If you have a new router, you may have to register your printers with that router. I had to change my printer’s IP when I got a new modem/router from my ISP.
Check your printer’s network settings to ensure it is using DHCP to get its IP address. Then power cycle the printer.
Except it was printing fine for the last month. Route was installed 5 weeks ago. The printer is old and the router is new and maybe they just cant be friends
Have you tried the suggestions above to help diagnose the issue?
