I decided to uninstall the Norton Family product off of my hard drive until the issues are resolved with the new release. However, I wasn't able to uninstall because it again asked for parent email and password which can't be validated due to server problem - very frustrating!!!! So, I called a friend and he suggested the following which worked: (Windows 7 OS)
- Disable your internet connection
- Go to Control Panel, Uninstall a program, scroll down to Norton Family, and click to remove
- Enter email and password if prompted (works because there's no internet connection and they didn't code for that?
- Message pops up that program is uninstalling
- Re-enable internet connection
- Restart
