I mostly have this problem in Firefox. IE works sometimes. In IE the times it works it brings up a window to open a file named meta.asx.
Whatever the issue is these are conference calls from public companies and I have to listen to them, they are not viruses or anything bad but maybe something about them kicks off NAV(like the opening of this meta.asx file).
I tried figuring out what to turn off within NAV and for that matter turning off NAV all together and I still could not access the conference call. I can't tell you how much this pissed me off as even if it was a bad site ultimately it should be my decision to go there and pay the consequences. It makes me want to delete NAV.
So can you help me to be able to access these conference calls???
which browser are u using? I always have this problem with Firefox but not mostly with IE(actually today is the first time I got it with IE)
With IE it brings up a "File Download" window which includes the option to "Always ask before opening this type of file". So depending on if you have that option checked or not you might not see the window.
I don't want to lose sight of my original issue which is how do I turn this feature off so I can go to a website I choose regardless of what NIS thinks of it?
BTW, I didn't mean to link the pic to a porn site or a site that has porn banner ads. You don't see the banners during the image upload.

I was able to recreate the blocked page behavior you described. I will work with some colleagues to investigate the issue.
In the meantime, as a workaround for the links you have to review, I found the following procedure to work using Firefox using the example you provided.:
1) right-click on the audio link and select "copy link location"
2) open a new tab
3) paste the link into the new tab's address bar
4) edit the URL in the address bar, deleting all text to the left of "web.servicebureau.net" and use the truncated URL
Again, I will try to resolve with my teammates the original issue, but hopefully the workaround will help you for now.
Sorry, I forgot to describe that you should be able to use the "continue to this site" link on the block page and get through. That worked on my Firefox test system.
Also if you are using the NoScript extension for Firefox, be sure to permit "web.servicebureau.net".
Sorry I should have said I was using IE7 and it went just as usual for me ..... It opened WIndows Media Player without asking and started to play -- which may just reflect the settings I have at the moment.
I'm sure you didn't mean to put me onto a porn site! The straitforward method now is to put an image into Your Gallery in Profile and make it Public. Then when you Insert Image you can point it to the image in Your Gallery.
That way it is hosted on the system server and after vetting by moderators it appears -- until that there is a place holder image in your message.
I'm glad to see that a Staffer is dealing with it and seems to recreated it.
But if I have this issue again, maybe with another conference call site, how do I temporarily turn off the phishing so I can still listen to the call w/o figuring out a trick like the copying/editing url?
I didn't know I'd have a problem listening to the call until right before hand, sometimes the link isn't active until shortly before the call starts.
You can just turn off Antiphshing feature (and restart your browser). From the main NIS UI in the Identity category at the bottom, just shift the slider control for Antiphshing from On to Off.
only you can click solved,as the original poster you chose which post solved the issue for you and click on the green button. It helps others to find solutions to their problems .
