Hi 01Ashworth,
I was unable to get what is the norton that it installed on the computer. Please let us know the Norton that you use in the computer. Also let us know if you got the Norton from a Internet service provider.
Norton provided by the ISP(Internet service provider) does not have not any days on them. They are active till you use there internet service. So please provided us the above mentioned info which will give you better answers.
Hi,
do you mean an upgrade from Norton Internet Security to Norton 360? Or from Norton Security Suite (provided by Comcast) to Norton 360?
Hi, 01Ashworth,
The bad news is that, since you're buying a different product, your remaining subscription days for Norton Internet Security or Norton Security Suite would ordinarily be lost. There's no way to automatically preserve them, especially since the different prices of the two products means that the value of a "subscription-day" for each is different.
The good news is that from what I understand, the Customer Support folks will likely transfer your remaining subscription days to your new license if you ask. That gives you a couple options: (1) wait for your NIS subscription to expire--or almost expire--and then upgrade in lieu of just renewing, or (2) Buy the upgrade and contact Customer Support (folks seem to get the fastest solutions using Live Chat) and request that your remaining NIS subscription days be moved over to your new Norton 360 subscription.
Whichever way you go, don't forget to save your existing product key (either on paper or in your Norton Account, where it will already be if you set that up), export your Identy Safe cards/credentials if you've set them up, then download and run the Norton Removal Tool to completely remove your existing product from your computer, before installing Norton 360. This is important to be sure that any traces of one program that might confuse or conflict with the other are cleaned up before you try to install another security product.
