FTP blocked

Issue abstract:I can’t get FTP to work without turning the firewall off. FTP is not listed as the protocol on port 21. This started after the latest version of Nortons 360 installed. Was woking perfectly before.

Hello Peter. Please reset your firewall and restart. Use the FTP program again and watch for a notification to appear asking for permissions.

Is FTP the name of a program or any file transfer client?

File Transfer Protocol is FTP. Clients use the same no matter the client used. The firewall will ask permissions the first time its used unless its block in settings.

Thank you, it is now working. I did try restoring default before posting, but did not restart. After a restart it is working.
