It did the second one this night, it obviously runs like clockwork here on my machine.

 

It doesn't use Windows Task Scheduler, so there must be something wrong with your NIS registry settings., or maybe your disk is stopping it from doing it somehow, maybe Power Management, I really can't say..

What does the "CPU Usage" dialog say about the Idle Full System Scan, i.e. "Last Run Time", "Duration", "Status" ?

 

The issue you mention on DSL Reports was an intermittent issue in N360 v2 that affected a few customers, and an update has been available for quite some time.

In CPU Usage>Background Jobs..................

 

Idle Full System Scan...... Last Run=Never,    Duration=Blank,    Run During Idle=No,    Status=Not Run

 

I have the idle time set to one minute.  After one minute, under the Idle Countdown bar, it reads...........Your computer is currently in an idle state.

Default is 10 minutes. Why did you set it to 1 minute?

On the other side of this issue, you may not need to run a full system scan, even while your computer is idle, because it eats into your system resources and slows down background tasks. Also, Norton's real time protection is more than sufficent.
