Full System Scan Not Working

I recently got a norton internet security 2012 but whenever i try to do a full system scan, at first it scans a few files then it stops on one file then doesnt continue to scan, i waited for about 2 hours for it to continue but it stays on the same file. This has happened for many times.

Welcome,

Can you turn off the option to scan compressed [ZIP] files and try it one more time?

Thanks

Sure, i'll give it a try

It works, thank you very much fior your support Dickevans

I am trying to perform a full system scan but nothing happens. In fact, when I click on either Quick Scan, Full System Scan or Custom Scan nothing happens. I have checked that I have the most recent version.

Overall, the NIS software doesn't seem to run very well at all. It takes a while to go from one menu to another and some menus do not appear at all. It's very frustrating. I actually purchased some McAfee software as NIS was (and still is) useless, but it turns out McAfee isn't much better and was causing my laptop to crash. So I went back to Norton and the problems are still persisting. Are they aware that their NIS software performs so badly?

I'm actually pretty sure that NIS hasn't been working properly for a while on my laptop, which led to my email be hacked.

Any ideas? I have Windows 7.
