I am a PC tech & I'm trying to clone the 2 40gig IDE drives in a customer's FreeBSD 4.11 server over to new, larger 160 gig PATA (new version of IDE) drives.
As far as I can tell, the data on each source drive got copied over to each of the 2 destination drives, but when we tried to boot from either of the new drives, we got "missing boot loader" errors. Apparently, Ghost missed the boot sector of the drives. Is there something special we need to do to clone an entire BSD drive (including the boot loader)?
