Ghost reports all warnings and errors to the Windows Event log. Could you look at the application event logs and check for any warnings/errors from Ghost, Ghost Service, V2i, Volume Shadow Copy Service, etc? Have you run LiveUpdate in Ghost until there are no more updates? Thanks!

Dear Tony,

I just tried again to start Norton Ghost service but it crashed shortly after.

If I start Ghost UI, it waited for Ghost service for some seconds, another "Service Module has stopped working" prompted. Ghost appear at Welcome screen but click on "Next" results in "Error E1AD3212: You do not have sufficient priviledge...".

I am not sure what is V2i service.

Volume Shadow Copy Service (set as Manual started) did not start.

Hi ninja,

Try logging in as the administrator for the system and start the Norton Ghost Service again. Thanks!

Hi Tony,

Actually I have tried start Ghost by right click it and select "Run As Administrtor". On the other hand, the core problem is the Ghost Service crashed shortly after started (even manually started by me).

I am having the exact same problem with ghost 12 and vista ultimate SP1. has anyone found a fix yet for this?

Hi Tony,

As I did able to install it on a freshly installed WinXP on another partition, I am able to backup my system and almost forgot the problem.

I retried today and find Ghost 14 did run now. I think it is because several product update was applied during LiveUpdate.

Anyway, the problem was solved. Thanks.

Ninja
