After years of successful operation with Norton Ghost 10.0, it now locks up at 5%. This is done when either I use the automatic backup or manual backup operations. The system is fully updated.
HELP>>>>>>>>
I'm having the same issue with Ghost 14. It will not get past 5% on one of my machines.
This machine has 4 drives, and OS drive, a Backup drive for ghost, and 2 other large drives for media storage.
I've ran full checkdisk on the OS and Backup drives multiple times.
I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled Ghost 14, being sure to run live update every time.
There are others out there in this forum with the same issue and a resolution would be nice.
Supposedly fdisking the back up drive would work but I'd rather not try that.
We need a bit more information on errors that might be occurring. Ghost reports all warnings and errors to the Windows Event log. Could you look at the application event logs and check for any warnings/errors from Ghost, Ghost Service, V2i, Volume Shadow Copy Service, etc? Have you run LiveUpdate in Ghost until there are no more updates? Additionally, which operating system are you using? What are the details of the backup job you are running? Any additional information you can provide is appreciated. Thanks!
