I have setup a monthly base recovery set and an incremental every 2 days. On 12 February, a new base recovery set has been generated without any message in the event log.
What could have produced that unexpected base recovery set?

What is your OS? Have there been any changes other malfunctions since the first of the month?
It sounds like the program lost track of where it was and made the assumption that it should start fresh. I had that happen when I had to reinstall the program due to a problem.

A dirty shutdown or defragmenter running could cause ghost 10 to do this. Ghost 15 seems much better at reconciling after one of these events.
My OS is Windows XP. Yesterday, Norton did again a base recovery set and again without any message in the event log.
I should maybe consider an upgrade to Ghost 15. Is there any special offer to migrate from 10 to 15?

The best offer I know is when Frys.com offers a Norton bundle free after mail in rebate. It is usually offered about every 4-5 weeks.
