I have an old Win98 computer that I need to make an image backup. We have a copy of Ghost 11.5.1 that we used years ago. What I need is a user manual or instructions on that version so I can use it. This old computer is connected to some hardware and would be nearly imposable to reinstall 98 and other programs from scratch in the event of problems.
Hi Olfatguy:
According to DaveH's 26-Jun-2012 post in Ghost 11.5.1 for DOS is Free or Not? Ghost 11.5.1 was part of Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 released in May 2008. That version of Ghost was intended for corporate users, not home consumers per the post Brief Overview of Symantec Ghost and Norton Ghost Versions in the Broadcom forum.
I was able to find links to users guides for some legacy Norton Ghost products for consumers at https://www.nortonlifelockpartner.com/user-guides/ (including Norton Ghost 10 <here> and Norton Ghost 12 <here>) but didn't see any user manuals for legacy Symantec products for corporate users on that page. If you can't find a user guide for Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 online (I searched but couldn't) you might have to contact Broadcom directly, since Broadcom acquired Symantec's enterprise division in Nov 2019 (see the CRN article <here>), and Norton LifeLock is now a separate company that manages the Norton line of home consumer products.
