I've been running Ghost for about a week ona trila version to see if it is going to be any good for me. Things aren't looking good - I thought I would test a recover to see how it works before I actually have to use it for real. I have run backups of all the data, photos and music files on my data drive ( one partition of my internal drive) onto an external drive. Selecting recover files and folders I search for the file ( very fiddly search window by the way), using Browse I find the root photo directory only to find thata only a small random selection of the files are seemingly available for restore. Where have they all gone, or did they never back up in the first place?
Another very irritating thing is that I've connected a couple of other drives which I've subsequently discarded in favour of a larger external ddrive. Can I delete these - No and the **bleep** programme keeps telling me there is a problem because that drive is not avaiable, or offers me the chance to back it up. How frustrating is that?
Reading this forum does not fill me with confidence, and unless I get a proper answer to my problem, my flirtation with Ghost could be very short!
Any suggestions?
NB using NIS2009 too in Windows XP Pro SP3.
