Hi, I installed Ghost 14 intending to backup my hard drive, clone it, then upgrade with a new hard drive. Backup worked (onto an external HD), clone worked (using Westen Digital software that came with the drive), reinstalled new cloned drive into the compuer. BOoted up normally. Everything worked great until I tried to backup my new drive using Ghost. It does not recognize my new internal harddrive. In fact, it points to the external drive by default as the one that needs to be backed up. This external drive is the only drive visible when I try to use the Ghost backup drive function. To top it all off, I have uninstalled Ghost, reinstalled it (twice), recloned the harddrive again, and I still have the same problem. I went so far as to use the Norton utility for uninsalling all the remnants of Ghost (because for a time, it sensed that I had a newer version of the product and would not let me reinstall it) Had to remove my symantec anti-virus in order for this to work. Used Revo and Crap Cleaner to totally wipe all remnants of Ghost. Then reinstalled Still does not see the new and improved hard drive that I need to back up. 12 hours later, I still am having no luck. Any help please?
