I have Norton Ghost 14 installed on my Dell Dimension 8200 (Pentium 4) and am having problems today since I swapped out my 2nd hard drive.
I had to replace my C:\ drive when the installed drive failed to boot. I then rebuilt my system with a fresh install if Windows XP Home and put the failed 80GB Seagate drive in as my 2nd drive in place of the WD drive I had in so that I could retrieve as much of my data as possible.
Today I pulled the damaged drive out and reinstaled the original 2nd hard drive (which I had earlier moved from an old Windows 98 machine). WIth the bad drive, Ghost kept complaining that I hadn't done a back-up; once I had swapped them, Ghost removed the red flag on my tray icon but when I tried to finally do a backup, it failed with the old E0020002 EBAB03F1 error sayig that "Device \\?\SymantecSnapshot1 cannot be opened. / The system cannot find the file specified." Since then, the Ghost icon has disappeared from my tray and when I try to start it from the Start => Programs => Norton Ghost, it hangs while trying to connect to my computer. Further, when I cancel out of Ghost and try to shut down, VPro*** will not terminate.
So, now what??
