Just realised I made an important typo there - the third incremental backup was 69Gb (not Mb) - otherwise I wouldn't have a grouse!
I'm having this problem, too. My current base is 51.4 GB and I just did an incremental that came to 53.8 GB!
You might be interested in this thread; it has a lot of information on the subject. It's not solved, but a lot of people are working on it there. In particular, look at the second post on pg. 5 and most of the stuff on pg. 7.

Right - thanks for that - somehow my initial searches had not thrown up that thread which is the logical place to post I suppose - although perhaps it highlights the issue more to start another??
Anyhow I guess I'll add a comment there to add support - but I'm not a backup geek. I bought this because I don't want to have to work out how it all works. I just want the job done. If this software is a load of cr*p it's just going in the bin and I will be p*ss*d off with Norton forever.
