While Ghost 14 appears to work properly under Windows XP Pro, I have two major problems when trying to use either the distribution Ghost 14 or a custom Ghost 14 Recovery Disk on two different computers:

1.  I get a V2iSR.exe application error whenever I try to restore my computer's hard drive using the Recovery Disk to boot from.  The exact text of the error is: "The exception unknown software exception (0xc000000d) occurred in the application at location 0x00a2ebd2.  Click on OK to terminate the program""

This only happens when I click "Next" on the Welcome to the Recover My Computer Wizard.  If I use "Analyze" I can see all the drives and the restore point on the Ghost 14 backup location.  The computer is a Dell 690 work station with the PERC 5i RAID card and four SAS drives in a RAID 0 configuration.  If I use the old Norton Ghost 2003 method to restore a drive from a GHO partition file, it works just fine.

2.  When either my Dell 690WS or 670WS computers use a new Adaptec Series 5 5445 RAID card the Ghost 14 Recovery Disk can not see ANY drive handled by the Adaptec 5445 card!  It does see drives handled by an older Adaptec 2200S RAID card.  I have spent weeks with Norton's East Indian tech support people with no resolution.

Norton Ghost 14 seems to run fine while under WinXP but the Recovery Disk routines seem to be incapable of restoring my operating drive on two different computers.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Which drivers are added when you create a Custom Recovery Disk? Are they the ones you expect, or is nothing added?
