This is a  real issue.  I created a SRD and went to test it by booting from it.  It got through the first Windows (XP) screen fine but hangs at the Welcome screen.  I pulled the CD and powered down and then powered up and it still hangs at that screen.  Did the SRD copy files to the hard disk that are preventing it to boot?

I was able to boot into Safe mode but when rebooting again it hangs again.

HELP, this is serious.

Bob

No, the SRD does not write to the disk you don't perform any actions to the drive.  Your description of the first boot sounds like you were just booting into Windows with the SRD in the drive.  The Ghost 14 SRD uses the Vista Win PE to load and shouldn't look like Windows until you get past the license agreement.  Have you let the system try to load after a long time?  Are you using a RAID array?  When you boot into Safe Mode have you checked the event logs for any "hungapp"s or faults?
