Ghost 14 various complaints

1. Ghost 14 installed broken on my XP system. I had to manually run Live Update to get a working version.

2. Ghost 14 Quits when it encounters an error.  A very stupid default.  If you manage to find where to set ignore errors, it then fails to report the errors. Another stupid choice.

3. In spite of that setting, the documents backup quits when it encounters a file with a CRC error.  Actually it somehow improved its behavior. Several times it simply stopped running.  No error message.  It did not end and would not cancel. I had to reboot.

When I deleted the file with the CRC error, the backup ran successfully.  I then deleted the previous successful backup.

This undocumented message says it is complying with a setting which I cannot find and would not have set to 1.

The incredibly scatter Ghost interface makes it very difficult to find anything.

I had Ghost set to manange space and to limit versions to 6.

When you try to edit a backup job,  You do not actually get to edit anything, you are dumped into the setup wizard again.

All of the setting affecting a backup could easily have been put on a single screen.

Ghost has no function to search a backup drive for all backup files (that includes backups by earlier versions).

That's a lot to be wrong with such an old product.

I am saving all this before I hit enter because the security check is also badly designed and thows away data if you make a mistake.

I got an "unexpected error"  but unlike when I registered the data was not lost. trying again.
