Greetings,
I have fallen into an interesting trap.
I have my current backup jobs defined to save to a dynamic drive. So.., When I boot into the SRD Enviroment, the drives are not seen. The SMEdump output indicates that the adapter drivers are loaded, and the hardware is visible, but no drive letters are allocated. I assume this means the drives defined in Window XP are not mounted under the SRD environment.
Maybe there's not enough detail in the documentation, but I can't find way to access the recovery points. (I was just getting around to "testing" the capability.)
Getting to this point was tough enough, with injecting drivers into the MINWIN OS was not straightforward and caused me quite some trouble.
I'm running Win XP Pro 32 bit. My C:\ drive is on an Intel RAID 0 SATA device. My backup storage is on an Adaptec RAID 0 SATA device. Unluckily it's defined as "dynamic" in Win XP.
This is part of what I see in partition info and SMEDump:
DiskGroup: SME~Computer~HelgemaxDg0 (Dynamic): 298 GBDL A L FileSys Label Clust FS Size FS Used DN
=== = = ======= ==================== ===== ======= ======= ==
- P NTFS Open Archive 4096 147 GB 70.2 GB 2
- P NTFS Archive 4096 151 GB 34.4 GB 2
Is there any documentation on how to use the MINWIN environment other than to hope you have full function with no problems or twists in your yellow brick road? Peek and Poke, and ask lots of questions?
Thanks,
Neil
