This is what I am doing I am trying tomake a clone of a SATA hard drive and use the clone as a backup in case my primary hard drive fails
I want to be able to just swap in the cloned drive as if nothing happened, i will be using the same pc the hard drive will just be put into a safe deposit box for fail safe until needed
What happens is once I put the cloned drive in, the pc boots to the XP screen, what I should see is my login icon "mike" , but it just hangs at the XP welcome screen. The mouse moves but I never get past that screen. I did the disck to disk verification and all files seem like they are there...
The cloned drive has been formatted and partitioned......
PLEASE help...
