Ghost 15 Install fails

Hello,

I'm trying to set up a copy of Ghost for a group of systems with varying hardware and editions of Win7 x64. On all but one, it's installed perfectly fine and configured automatic backups. On one, however, the installer immediately crashes with the following error information once it's run:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: NGH1501_AllWin_EnglishTryBuy30.exe

Application Version: 0.0.0.0

Application Timestamp: 00000000

Fault Module Name: NGH1501_AllWin_EnglishTryBuy30.exe

Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0

Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000

Exception Code: c0000005

Exception Offset: 0004529c

OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1

I've tried with NGH150_AllWin_EnglishTryBuy30.exe as well and it gives the same thing. I went to run the Norton Removal Tool in case the first attempt at installation left something bizarre in the registry, and that gives an error saying it's incompatible with this version of windows (it mentions something about 32 versus 64 bit compatibility). There's no antivirus software running aside from Windows Defender, which I tried disabling to no effect. I saw one thing in my googling that mentioned multiple network cards, but with only one of the two onboard NICs showing in Device Manager (having uninstalled the other one) it still gives the same error.

I'm doing a manual backup of the data now, but having an automated solution in place is somewhat critical for this system.

Hello,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner; holidays had everyone out of the office.

I tried a couple of different anti-malware solutions and didn't seem to get any solid hits, which is what I expected as this particular system is basically never on the network. The issue persists as described above.

Silly question, but would it work to copy an existing (and still in its trial period) copy of Ghost from another system to this one? Does Ghost generate default registry keys if it's launched and doesn't find the ones normally created during installation, or does it simply fail?

Thanks again for your help.
