Apparently I have no idea what I'm doing.
I used Ghost 15 to image a 60GB HD laptop with C and D partitions. I installed a new 128GB HD. The external USB backup drive shows both C and D folders. When I booted to CD and selected Recover My Computer, I think I did it incorrectly. I chose C first, then went back and chose D second. The computer won't boot. I think my choosing D overwrote the first recovery of C.
I don't understand how to restore both partitions to the new larger drive. And what to do with unallocated space. My thinking is the new drive needs both partitions because programs and data were installed on both C and D due to original space limitations.
Second; I installed Ghost on a good working computer and make a System Recovery CD. Is that CD unique to the computer it was made on, or can I use it to boot any other machine?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
