Hi Folks,
I migrated my drive to a new computer, so before doing so, I backed it up with Ghost 15 to an archive drive. I now am trying to extract the files from the backup image to a different folder on the archive drive so I can have easy access to them. However, this process is taking *forever*! It's on track to take 10 days to extract about 200 GB of files.
I have the backup image store on the local drive of a computer, and I am using the backup explorer to extract files to an attached USB drive. The USB is not limiting the of restoration. I can see that it's taking about half a second for ghost to restore a single file. With hundreds and thousands of files, well...
It actually seemed to start up pretty quickly, but after a few hours, it slowed to a crawl.
Any ideas out there for how I can speed up this horrible process? Thanks!
Using: Windows 7 Home Premium, 2.8 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB RAM.
