I believe I've followed every thread related to the keywords I found in:

I've tried multiple times to restore a full backup for my Win7Ultimate 32bit root-drive (C:) on a failed Seagate 500GB drive. There are 245 files in the image. I could only purchase a new 1TB HDD as a replacement. Ghost 14.0 would hang near the end. I then bought Ghost 15. It hangs consistently at 97%. I can tick down the six hours it takes observing the external drive go through the verify, etc. The external drive activity indicator will flash all the way down to just a few minutes (about six minutes to be exact). Then, the minutes slowly start to increase about 1 minute per 1/2 to 1-hour past the initial estimate (6 hrs). So, after some 12 hours, I might observe that A) the external drive has no activity (past six hours), B) the internal target drive activity indicator flashes about once every second or two, C) the estimated time to completion increases to about 16 or 17 minutes, 4) the percent complete remains at 97%.
I have tired about five combinations of check box options to restore the drive, but not work. If I cancel out early in the process, the Ghost 15 program responds quite fast, but if I try to cancel at the 97%, the Ghost 15 program never seems to return to the main menu page. At this point, after several hours of waiting for the cancellation processing to finish, I feel it necessary to cycle power on the computer, because it doesn't seem that Ghost is responding.
So, I don't know if my image is just too large that Ghost 14 and 15 cannot handle it. Or, maybe the process simply times out before it completes vetting (and that's why it is stopping consistently at 97% of the 245 files needing to be restored to the new C: HDD.
Again, the original image was made just after upgrading and updating the Win7 system with all the software installed that I wanted. This was done to an external 2TB USB drive. It seems to be intact. I can see every file using the recover disk.
Finally, I've performed as many verifications on the original v2i backup as I've made attempts to restore the drive using the different options avilable. I never get any errors whatsoever.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?
