Hi. I've been using Ghost 9.0 for years on numerous machines so I consider myself quite versed in Ghost.
Tonight I launched it (double clicking on the icon in the Windows task bar) and after the splash screen, I get an error message stating "v2iconsole.exe - No disc". The choices are Cancel, Try Again, Continue. None work and I have to use Windows Task Manager to kill it! Basically it is looking for a cd. No, I have never created a Ghost image onto a cd/dvd...always point them to 2nd hard drive on my motherboard's SATA chain.
The only way to get Ghost 9.0 to launch is to put a cd, any cd, in the drive and launch.
I have not tried rebooting because I have hours (almost days) worth of stuff that my machine is processing and I cannot reboot now.
This is on Windows XP Home SP2.
Now, on a side note, I did boot into Windows this morning with my Ghost 9.0 cd in the cd rom drive (but did not boot from the cd). Possibly the installation noticed the cd was in the drive and there is a bug related to this?
This is really annoying and I'll be quite upset if there is no cure. Google finds this topic but no cures.
Please let me know if you have a cure.
Thanks in advance!
