I have been encountering problems with an Intel D945GNT motherboard using Intel Matrix Storage Manager in RAID 1 configuration as drive C: and Norton Ghost 14.
When I try to perform a full disc backup of drive C: using Ghost 14 it won't let me set recovery points saying that "The recovery point set option is disabled because you selected an unmounted drive. You cannot create recovery point sets for unmounted drives."
Online chat with Norton produced the suggestion that because Intel MSM does not assign a drive letter to the RAID 1 combination in the Computer Management..Disk Management window (although it appears normally as drive C: in Windows Explorer and everywhere else) Norton Ghost cannot recognise the drive as mounted.
Reading various posts and trying to get what information I can find is giving me the impression that Ghost 14 does not work with Intel MSM.
Any comments anyone?
