GoBack and massive file activity

I have GoBack 4.1.  I made good use of it several times.  Sometimes it saved me when something went wrong and I had to go back to an earlier configuration.  A few times, I deliberately used it to facilitate testing things.

Last week I had a problem and was happy that I had GoBack to set me back about 3 days.  Alas, I was greeted with the message:  "Logging suspended because of massive file activity."  Oh no.  As I browsed the internet, I discovered that other people have had the same experience.  They, like I, had no warning that this was happening.  This goes against all the advertising about how wonderful GoBack is.

My question:  Precisely what was the "massive file activity"?  How can I get rid of it?  I must identify it and remove it so I can get GoBack back to going.  I was running the usual collection of programs, as I have been running for a long time.  No new installations, no program updates or upgrades.

Thank you for your help.
