Hacked Address book

I was away for 4 days and my computer and internet had been turned off. On checking my emails on return I found 4 emails with the the apparent senders name as the subject. Opened emails and there was some gobbledy gook link to some thing which I didn't click.

The strange thing was that in the Send To/CC was 6 random names from that persons address book.

All 4 emails had addresses from each persons address book.

One person told me that he received 6 emails that were returned from those people.

I always use BCC if I send anything to more than one person to prevent this sort of thing.

I have Norton 360 and scan at least twice a week.

Any ideas?

Thanks
