I purchased Norton Internet Security in February this year, paid for one year via credit card. It came preinstalled on the new PC I bought. Unfortunately my harddrive died a few days ago. I was forced to buy a new drive and restore the factory image on it.
I can't seem to reactivate my still available time for Norton IS. I managed to login to my account and I see the purchased item there. However, it asks my for a serial number which I can't get. There is a serial number on my Norton IS but the system does not accept it, it says it's an invalid serial number.
It also says there was a problem verifying my account transaction at the time of purchase. That's strange because the charge appeared on my credit card (I can prove it) and my subscription worked fine until my harddrive crashed.
Right now I feel cheated. I want my money! This is not a way to do business!
