Hamachi and NIS 2009

I have been running a Hamachi VPN on my NIS 2008 machines.  Recently, I upgraded my desktop to NIS 2009, and now my other machines cannot get through to the desktop.  The desktop, on the other hand, can still communicate with the other Hamachi machines on my VPN.  If I turn off the 2009 firewall, the other machines can ping the desktop.  I have checked the trusts and the general rule that Hamachi requires to operate, and they seem correct.  The only odd thing I've noticed is that when I look at "General Rules" on my other machines, all of them appear with checkmarks in the left-hand column, and I could (but don't) modify them.  On the NIS 2009 machine, some General Rules have no checkmarks, and they and many of the rules that do have checkmarks are "grayed out" so that they are unmodifiable.  Could that be connected (so to speak) to my Hamachi communication problem?  If so, can I "reactivate" those other General Rules or should I just do a reinstall of NIS 2009?  All suggestions are most welcome.  Thanks in advance.

:smileyhappy:Solution discovered:  NIS 2009 has an extra setting that NIS 2008 did not have.  In order to allow access by Hamachi through NIS 2009, one must go into Trust Control.  Then under Network Details on the left-hand side, select Hamachi from the pull-down menu.  Select the Hamachi machine to which the user has given permission, and then click on Edit at the far right-hand side of the dialog box for that machine.  The default setting is "Protected"; change that to "Full Trust."  Then the VPN connection works.

My thanks to Tech0utsider, who got me started on this path.
