Issue abstract:Have I been scammed?

Detailed description: I think I may have been scammed. I was trying to install Norton 360 standard when the installation was interrupted and I was told by Mike that Norton 360 could not deal with my problem and that I needed to contact an outside specialist. They put me through to an outside specialist who told me it would cost me £150 to put me right. There was a problem apparently with the IP blocker. Reluctantly I agreed. They spent an hour fiddling with my Windows setup using scannow and eventually cured the problem. (I had lost contact with Google Drive which held all my material so this was absolutely disastrous).
I think the outside specialist was OK, though the whole time I was worried that the whole thing was a scam. But my access to Google Drive has been restored. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Same thing happened to be, and am I ever upset with Norton. I went to the Norton site to install on a PC. It would not take my sign in info and a pop up said insert your name and phone, then a person from India called and wanted to sign in to my computer saying it was infected and I needed to pay 199 or 299. Seriously, Norton can’t police sites that use their name to scam people, not very good protection.
