I'm able to call related support document from related help link [?]
xjoex:If I am fully signed in thru the browser including 2FA then I am taken directly to the correct help page.
I'm signed in at Norton 360 client.
I'm signed in at Norton account.
I do not have 2FA.
[?] links calls https://login.norton.com/sso/embedded/update and Sign In lands here https://my.norton.com/extspa/account/personalinfo again and again and again.
and I'm never seeing [?] related help pages.
So, I don't know.
I used to be able to call a related support document from a related help link [?] w/wo being signed in client or account.
If I am fully signed in thru the browser including 2FA then I am taken directly to the correct help page.
I I close the browser and then try clicking the "?' help link I am asked to input my 2FA code via the Google authenticator and then it takes me to the correct page.
If I clear all browser cookies and cache it then asks me for full sign before taking me to the correct page.
I guess it works as intended assuming Norton requires an account with them to view the help page thru the "?' link. :)
mgirons:Been thru' majority of the ? help items in various settings, only one took me to that specific help item, all others take to generic help page where you actually need to type in your Help request but that does not seem too good at filtering out the relevant items.
W11 Home 22H2 & Norton 360 - latest 22.23.10.10 with Edge as default browser. All bar the odd one goes to same web page with identical web page reference address.
my Help [?] links call a support page 'support.norton.com/sp/landing?utm_source [...] - then in half a blink - rollover to 'login.norton.com/sso/embedded/update'

peterweb:I just checked multiple Settings sections and clicked on the ? for many individual settings and was taken to what appears to be the correct information page for that feature. Windows 10 Pro 22H2. Norton 360 ver 22.23.10.10.
So, my issue is just my two machines.
head scratch = no idea what's gone wonky with my two machines

Okay...just trying to understand whether my reported issue is just my two machine.
Opening settings ( Norton Security Ultra ) then the help by the word Settings land here for me, which is weird:
https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v5312602?
*Note: I redacted a boatload of info that was attached to the end of the URL that included my Norton product SKU, etc. which I do not want openly posted in the forums.
Will test on my personal laptop with N360 ASAP and report findings.

Do your Settings - Help (question mark) links call related Norton support document?
I used to be able to call related support document from related [?]
mgirons:I'm in UK - clicking on the ? help icon in the settings page, 9 times out of 10 takes you to Support page titled 'Welcome To Help Center!' where you have to enter what you need help on.
head scratch -
I'm in US - maybe, my ? help button issue is just me?
btw ~ I can reproduce my ? help button issue on another machine.
I reproduce my ? help button issue with Settings [?]
[?] links call a 'support.norton.com' page and then rolls over to 'login.norton.com'.
I used to be able to call related support document from related [?]
for example:
I'm in UK - clicking on the ? help icon in the settings page, 9 times out of 10 takes you to Support page titled 'Welcome To Help Center!' where you have to enter what you need help on. Would give you the link but the item I just tried, the address is 1253 characters long. First part of address is https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/help-center? Just tried, entered 'Smart Scan', brought up details of setting your default scan which we have forum thread on this somewhere - the so called 'option'' does not get thru' us users. This is the way I used to go.
Taking you route takes me to same support page, enter query, same answer as before comes up, seems to take a bit longer but no need to log-in etc.
mgirons:Norton have also withdrawn the full inbuilt 'Help'
Why has Norton with-drawn virtually all Help features?
Well, on my machine. Help > I need help using this product...calls a 'support.norton.com' page and then rolls over to 'login.norton.com'. And Sign In lands here > https://my.norton.com/extspa/account/personalinfo
I'm hoping we're experiencing a glitch...(read - lack of an active public beta channel).
Maybe, Norton in-house testing is adequate. Maybe, not.
mgirons:
a few do now but majority go to a generic search page so need to type in query there.
Hmm, my ? links call a 'support.norton.com' page and then roll over to 'login.norton.com'.
for example: Smart Firewall ? calls
then rolls over to
Used to go to specific Help page on selected item - a few do now but majority go to a generic search page so need to type in query there. Norton have also withdrawn the full inbuilt 'Help' which all you had to do was to find that file within Norton app files, copy and paste back as a pdf file which than gave all answers in a single document. The last one I have was October 2021, that was an 84 page document. Why has Norton with-drawn virtually all Help features?, the infrastructure was already there.
xjoex:My "?" help links go to login for login.norton.com
Okay...so, not just me. Thanks!
My "?" help links go to login for login.norton.com
Have no idea why I would need to login for help on a topic.
