Moved to Norton for Mac Board for better exposure.

I think we will have to send you to the Mac forum for more information. I'm not sure of the differences in behaviour between Windows and Mac. I will ask one of the Mods to move the thread. There will be a link here so you can find it later.

I am disappointed that norton would not remove it. Is it possible that it is not really a problem? The computer is a macbook pro.

Kind of a dead horse as far as Mac goes! A Tool-Tip on that log entry should have given you the full path. Most likely ~/Library/Caches/Java. Ditch that folder and scan again.
