Help remove and identify trojan found with virus scan

Moved to Norton for Mac Board for better exposure.

Hi John:

I think we will have to send you to the Mac forum for more information.  I'm not sure of the differences in behaviour between Windows and Mac.  I will ask one of the Mods to move the thread.  There will be a link here so you can find it later.

I am new to Norton internet security.  I ran a scan, ask it to repair all and it left (repair failed) to the below file which I can not locate to manually remove.  I could use help.  /User/John/Library/...3f4dd0a8-133a61ed   detail  Trojan Horse    It is listed three times.

I am disappointed that norton would not remove it.  Is it possible that it is not really a problem?   The computer is a macbook pro.

Thank You for your help,  John

Kind of a dead horse as far as Mac goes! :smileytongue: A Tool-Tip on that log entry should have given you the full path. Most likely ~/Library/Caches/Java. Ditch that folder and scan again.
