My quick scan runs fine, however a full system scan with Norton Antivirus keeps locking up at SecurityRisk.URLRedir I found a lot of entries in my host file which I deleted, so now I am down to one for localhost. I have the 2011 version of Norton antivirus. I have deleted and re-installed norton, still same issue. Help ! Bobbie Jo
How long is it locking up? It may be finding something that appears to be similar to this threat, but not able to confirm it, and so stays on it. You could do a quick run a Malwarebytes scan to check it. If it finds nothing, you can go into the spyware signatures and uncheck that particular threat to see if that will enable Norton to complete a full system scan.

Along with delphinium's advice, you could try and run a One Click Support scan / session (Help > Support) to see if this fixes any DNS redirect / changes. After that, start a Full System scan and see if it proceeds past the URLredir point.
