I bought my MacBook Air in June of this year and had installed Norton installed since day one with no problems. However, for the last few days I have been repeatedly asked whenever I open Chrome if I want to install the Norton Security Chrome extension. I always click "install", but whenever I turn my Mac off or quit and reopen Chrome, it reappears. Any solutions? Thanks in advance. 2015 MacBook Air macOS Sierra.
I have the same problem. I raised this with Norton support months ago, but they said they couldn't replicate it (even though they spent an hour or so remotely connected to my Mac and saw exactly what was happening). Quite frankly I gave up at that point. This is just one of a number of bugs I've encountered with this software since I bought the license. Probably will look elsewhere when the renewal becomes due.

Thanks to the both of you! I know Macs don't necessarily need antivirus but it gives me peace of mind.
