I have upnp enabled on my router so that I wouldn't have to bother with port forwarding for all of my gaming systems. I recently got a new computer, and it's messed everything up. On my PS3 and 360 I used to have open NAT. Now, I have moderate NAT on both and the computer. When I checked on GFWL it says that upnp is enabled, but not used.
The only thing I can think of is that the firewall on my Norton 360 is blocking upnp somehow. So I went in and disabled the blocking of upnp...... nothing. So I enabled it again just in case. I don't want to fiddle with the wrong things and breaking my Norton setup.
So, I'm wondering if there is anything that anyone here knows that I can do to fix my upnp to open my nat for my games.
I checked, and it was restricted. So I put it on shared. It opened my nat type. In Assassin's Creed Revelations it starts with open NAT, but if I refresh the network settings it goes to Moderate with a bad upload speed.
I never had this problem before I got this PC when playing the game on my XBOX, but at least I have an open NAT before it retries. Could Norton be affecting my upload speeds as well?
I just wanted to add that I have open NAT on my XBOX now, and GFWL. Thank you very much. It's probably just an issue with Assassin's Creed now. Thank you.
