Just out of curiousity, are you using the "classic" Yahoo email or the new? I'm still using the classic and it seems to be sluggish but I don't think it's related to NIS2009 at all.
It all depends on your connection. I am on a 6 Meg DSL connection using The All New Yahoo email with no troubles.
I’m on FiOS if that helps you out Dieselman743.
Yes but what are your speeds?

Hi Jimbo40-
I was just trying to help my mother-in-law this weekend with her Fios service and problems accessing Yahoo mail (and many other Yahoo websites).
From what I could tell, it appeared to be some Fios routing problem. I found that no amount of enabling/disabling features in NIS09 fixed the connectivity issues.
I found them to be intermittent - if you keep retrying several times you will eventually get through. The problems I observed were occurring Saturday 18-Sept-08.
See this forum for some reports of many users having issues:

Thanks,

I have Fios as well, and that very well may be what the problem was. As of last night I've had no problems with getting into my yahoo email account. It was just really weird that it happened to start acting up right after I updated my Norton.
Thanks again to everyone for the help!
