Hi, I have NAV 19.7.1.5. It has always run well, keeping politely in the background. A couple of weeks ago, it started slowing my system down so much that I am not able to type. It might take a few minutes to bring up the task manager or the NAV screen. It last about 2-4 minutes, and happens several times a day. My computer is not CPU bound; only 5-10% of the CPU is being used. The problem is non-stop disk activity.
I have ProcMon, and it tells me that the disk activity is related to Norton. Out of 507,000 "file events" ProcMon logged, 497,000 were due to Norton. As you can see, most of them are from reading the virus definitions. In addition, in the same period there were about 11,000 registry events, and over 6,000 of them were initiated by ccSvcHst.ext. Why did this start to happen a couple of weeks ago? Is there anything I can do to cut down on this activity? Thanks for any help you can give me!
