High GPU usage during Norton Scan normal or hacked?

Having issues with PC that appear game related but Norton Scan is just getting cancelled without my input and scanning for viruses using Norton showing unusually high GPU usage on Task Manager.

Is this normal (and why?) or signs that my PC and Norton have been hacked?

PS You can turn on GPU monitoring on Task Manager (Win11).  Most windows and web pages not playing videos and the system use very small amounts < 1%.

On my Win 10 system I know there are settings for the GPU use in Windows that allows apps to use the GPU to help system performance by off loading the demand on the CPU. My GPU software also has settings to allow apps to use the GPU by default.

Checking those two items might help you understand what is happening on your system.
