High RAM usage?

On one computer, Norton is using about 200 mb RAM. My other, almost identical laptop has only $%mb used. FIrst comuter was scanned with full scan, Norton power eraser, and hitman pro.....no viruses or malware. Any idea why this may be happening? Both computer have 8 GB RAM.

when it runs a scan it can run at a higher ram/cpu 

as for the settings mentioned not applicable

Actually it went back down to about 45 mb. Must have been running a scan. Thanks

constant 200 MB Memory? 

and you've reviewed Norton 360 Settings confirming Norton 360 Settings are identical? 
and you've run Norton LiveUpdate + Restart (not Shut down) machine

maybe, one machine has more idle time allowing background tasks to run?

maybe, Tasks Scheduling &or Idle Time Optimizer settings are different?
