This computer is having a codec issue (FFMPEG I think) and Realplayer or WMP will not open any video files that previously worked fine. In the last two months this machine has been cleaned of BACKDOOR and the antivirus XP 2010 viruses. I just ran a scan with SAS which came up clean except for a few cookies. The MBAM scan came up with 4 things as shown below along with the attached log. While I think the malware and media player issues are two different things I think I should deal with the infection first and maybe get lucky with the mediaplayer issue as a bonus.
I searched the board but did not specifically see this but did see posts for "hijack.startmenu" which were about a year old. Should I let fMBAM clean all 4 or is there a better way to deal with this?
