How can I prevent Norton quarantining my own developed files?

I am a developer and Norton keeps quarantining dozens of files that I am developing and trying to copy from my development machine to my test machine. My software won't run without those files. I tried to each time restore the files but it is a significant number of files that get quarantined each time and having Norton remember the exclusion doesn't seem to work. Also, what is suggested in other threads to set the treatment for 'Low risk' threats to 'Ask me' doesn't help because for whatever reason Norton categorizes this as medium level thread WS.Reputation.1 (Fewer than 5 people use it) SURE!!!! I JUST CREATED IT!

This is very frustrating. Any help is appreciated.

I'm running Norton 360 on a Windows 10 laptop

I would suggest doing all your testing with the files in the excluded folders I suggested above. As you have just created those files, that is the reason Norton is flagging them as unknown.

Once you have finished testing and the file is ready for release, you can submit the files to Norton so they will not be flagged.

It happens when I copy the files into the application folder for testing which is under C:\Program Files\... To exclude anything there from scanning doesn't sound like a good idea.

As a developer, you need to create a master folder for all your projects. Then exclude that folder from Both items in the image below.
